Messages It came with my Zoom G5, and never worked. I rely on guitarpatches. Has someone managed to use this? Or should we just continue to pretend that shipping half-assed stuff, and not fixing it in almost 2 years! Click to expand I recently picked up the B3 and I can't get the edit feature to work properly either. I load it up and can tweak the settings but it's not very intuitive and couldn't figure out how to edit settings I made on the pedal or save ones that I made with the Edit program.
Much easier to do everything manually. Souper Member. The zooms do happen to be particularly easy to tweak without software; unlike others devices where the software is almost necessary because of the poor user interface. I don't know why it's called edit and share. But maybe backup and import is a rubbish name.

Sharing is possible, but its something you have to do yourself. Zoom havent provided any dedicated service as far as I know. I had a pod HD and line 6 have a dedicated service with user patches you could download, but the service is only as good as the users.
There were never any sound samples. All in all the sharing patches idea falls short without quite a lot of input. Luckily the zoom is so easy to tweak, its no great loss. Mine works but man it's a POS. I've never had trouble editing with it and much prefer it over editing on the unit.
I've never tried share. Messages 1, Nothing ever pops up for me under "Zoom Online", it's always blank. It is an extremely easy unit to edit, but I would love to see how some people are setting up wackier sounds. If I could guarantee that the person that created the patch really knew what they were doing, I'd be interested in seeing how they do it too. But that would be tricky.
Each patch is a text file with the parameters. I manually edited a G5 patch with Notepad for my old G3, by removing extra parameters the G5 uses. Looks like No Attachments on this site, to share patches. Chris Silver Supporting Member. The problem with sharing patches is they sound different according to each persons setup. If your running direct and the patch was created running through the front of a 1x12 combo amp it's not going to sound good. There's a few guys on Youtube that have some killer sounding presets and they offer the patches for download.
I tried them and they sounded awful on my G5. As mentioned it's so easy to dial up a good preset from scratch it's really not needed. You must log in or register to reply here. Trending Topics.
